Fatoumatta Jahumpa Ceesay is a Gambian politician, diplomat and journalist who served as Speaker of the National Assembly of the Gambia from 2007 to 2009.
Born in Banjul, she is the daughter of Garba Jahumpa, the first indigenous mayor of the city. She was the first African woman to head the largest regional parliamentary group in the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, as President of its Africa Region.
